The Caves

Day 130: 25th August, 2019

Martin felt all week that Zach had been telling him we were going to have a great weekend this weekend. We have booked a meditation retreat at a Buddhist centre and we have never done anything like this before. It was very relaxing and gave us a better state of our conscious mind and how it works. While we were at the retreat there were a stack of pamphlets of things to do around the area. Martin was looking at them and he felt Zach tell him to take the waterfall one, so he did. During the retreat, the car alarm went off 3 different times. The first time was while we were in a meditation class. It had just finished but right before it ended you could hear a car alarm going off. I wasn’t aware that is was ours until we went outside to take a break. When we got outside, the alarm stopped so I didn’t think anything of it. All the cars were parked around the corner behind a row of bushes in a car parking area so you couldn’t see who’s alarm it was but right before we started to head back in for another meditation, the alarm went off again, so I walked over to where the cars were and sure enough it was ours going off again! Zach is getting very good at using the car alarm for a sign to let us know he is with us. We woke up the next morning, had coffee and our breakfast and drove to the waterfalls to start our walk. We were talking and I told Martin it reminded me of a place we went in Utah with Zach and we both agreed that yes it was very similar but we couldn’t remember what it was called. After about 30 mins we remembered where it was, it was up a mountain and at the top was an entrance to these caves. As we kept walking, about half way through, we came over this hill and on the other side of the road was a café and a large building with the name CAVES on the roof. We couldn’t believe it so we hiked over and went on the tour of the caves. We had lunch and in the shop was a large array of different crystals which I have started collecting prior to this trip. On the way back, as we were driving, I told Martin where we were, the road and trees reminded me of this Yellowstone holiday we took with Zach. It was so green and trees were everywhere. We used the GPS to get us home, but it took us on a different route then the one we were supposed to take. As we drove, it looked EXACTLY like Yellowstone, where we stayed with Zach.
