Sasquatch

Day 28: 15th May, 2019

We took the dogs on a walk this morning down the canal and ended up by the crematorium, where Zach was cremated. As we looked up, there is a bridge and on it, there was a large spray paint that said Sasquatch. In true Zach fashion, he reminded us of a memory of Martins’ 40th birthday party we had a few years ago. Long story, but I have a picture of Martin in an adult nappie/diaper that I had blown up to life size and stuck it on the wall, so when everyone walked in the house, it was the first thing they saw. He has a hairy chest, so one of the guys who was at our house for the party, said to Martin he looked like a sasquatch! After we got home, we decided to go on a drive and take the Alfa out just for a bit of fresh air and a way to clear our minds. As I always do, I was talking to Zach and I said, “I honestly don’t know how we are supposed to do this life Zach, how are we going to get through this without you physically here?” As we got in the car, I turned on the radio and Coldplay’s song “Fix You” came on. Again, another song from Zach. This is becoming a huge part of our new communication. It is just seeing and recognising that it is him who is sending it. Two of Zach’s good friends came over tonight and one of the girls said that she was talking to her aunt about Zach and all of a sudden, she felt a cold hand squeeze her arm really firmly. She said she knows it was real but she couldn’t see anything she just felt it. It is amazing at how Zach is also showing his friends, not just Martin and I that he is still around. WOW….
